Obligatory Introduction
Hello!  I created this LJ specifically to try my hand at online serial fiction writing.  My goals are to share the stories in my head, entertain any readers I get, and to improve my fiction writing. 

Note that I'm not attempting to make this my 'day job', and I'm not someone who lives in front of a computer (*gasp* someone starting a web comic/novel that -isn't- a college student??), so it'll be an experiment to find out if I can make this work with any sort of regular schedule.  My current plan is to write a large chunk of the story off-line to serve as a buffer while I get started, and then see how it goes from there.  (And like most online writers, getting feedback is a huge motivator to write more). 

I've got plenty of story ideas kicking around in my head in multiple genres (medieval fantasy/modern fantasy/scifi).  I'm currently debating between three different ideas to start this project.  If I have the time and can figure out a way to keep it from becoming confusing, I may eventually try to work on more than one story at a time here.

Also please note that I'm only familiar with the bare-bones basics of livejournal, so anyone reading this will get to watch me learn how to use this medium as well as watching me write a story ;-)  Profuse apologies in advance, etc.

ETA: Update 7/8/09 - I've settled on a story to tell, and am pecking away at.  Tentative title is The Elemental Magician.
